Family Loss

Windwood Farms is missing a key person. Ralph Frayne passed away in May (2015) in his 91st year.  Ralph & Alice purchased the farm in 1967. He loved the farm immensely and took great joy in telling customers stories of days gone by. He is dearly missed.

Windwood Farms is a family operated labour of love. Our small farm is located on the beautiful Beamsville 'Bench' in the heart of Niagara's Wine Country. In fact, there is a beautiful winery right next door (Malivoire). The world famous Bruce Trail runs through the rear of our property. This trail runs from Queenston Heights in Niagara Falls to Tobermory.

The farm has become a traditional destination for families and friends to pick fresh and tasty Apples, Pears & Plums. We Grow 16+ varieties of apples, so there is sure to be one that suites your taste. See our fruit ripening forecast tab for expected availability.

The farm is also home to a big pumpkin patch where you can personally select that perfect specimen to carve into something really special.

The quaint market is the place to go for pre-picked fruit, fresh fall vegetables, and of course, Windwood's famous Apple Cider!

We are a simple farm. Aside from our short and informative wagon ride, we do not have children's activities such as mazes or play centres. Our customers appreciate that we keep our farm as just that....a farm :)  Come for a visit and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures.
