Windwood Farms

Hours of Operation:
Open weekends only - 10am to 5:00pm

Windwood Farms is a family operated labour of love. Our small farm is located on the beautiful Beamsville 'Bench' in the heart of Niagara's Wine Country. In fact, there is a beautiful winery right next door (Malivoire). The world famous Bruce Trail runs through the rear of our property. This trail runs from Queenston Heights in Niagara Falls to Tobermory.

The farm has become a traditional destination for families and friends to pick fresh and tasty Apples, Pears & Plums. We Grow 16+ varieties of apples, so there is sure to be one that suites your taste. See our fruit ripening forecast tab for expected availability.

***The farm's pumpkin patch experienced 90% crop failure due to the excessively rainy summer of 2017 :(   Next year WILL be a better year!

The quaint market is the place to go for pre-picked fruit, fresh fall vegetables, and of course, Windwood's famous Apple Cider!

We are a simple farm. We do not have children's activities such as mazes or play centres. Our customers appreciate that we keep our farm as just that....a farm :)  Come for a visit and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures.

Hours of Operation:

Open weekends only - 10am to 5:00pm

Saturday October 21st is the last day the farm will be open to the public for the 2017 season.Today is our 'Clean Up' day and we will not be having our usual Apple Fritters etc. BUT....we are offering our customers the opportunity to pick the remaining apples (Mutsu/Crispin and Golden Delicious) for $1 per pound - If you are up for a nice walk around the orchard to find your favourite apples - today will be a beautiful day for it :)

***Please Note***

The Farm was hit by a very bad hail storm this year and there was a lot of damaged fruit on the trees. But there are still plenty of undamaged fruit for you and your family/friends to harvest :)

***Fruit is sold by the pound***

$1.50 per pound for most varieties

Family Loss

Windwood Farms is missing a key person. Ralph Frayne passed away in May (2015) in his 91st year.  Ralph & Alice purchased the farm in 1967. He loved the farm immensely and took great joy in telling customers stories of days gone by. He is dearly missed.
