In 2017 we were hit by a terrible hail storm that affected all of our fruit. We did not have enough salvageable yellow plums to send to our local Co-op that supplies grocery stores....So last year we decided to open our Early Golden and Yellow Shiro plums to at the public for Pick-Your-Own. It was a great success!
Our customers had the rare opportunity to enjoy the delicious taste of fresh off the tree, sweet yellow plums.
The plums were so popular that we have decided to forgo the grocery store supply chain and offer our yummy yellow plums to the public once again.

Windwood Farms is missing a key person. Ralph Frayne passed away in May (2015) in his 91st year. Ralph & Alice purchased the farm in 1967. He loved the farm immensely and took great joy in telling customers stories of days gone by. He is dearly missed.
***If you are a group of 30 or more people, or a tour group we do require a reservation to ensure your picking experience is the best possible.***
Traditions Begin Here
Windwood Farms is a family operated labour of love. Our small farm is located on the beautiful Beamsville 'Bench' in the heart of Niagara's Wine Country. In fact, there is a beautiful winery right next door (Malivoire). The world famous Bruce Trail runs through the rear of our property. This trail runs from Queenston Heights in Niagara Falls to Tobermory.
The farm has become a traditional destination for families and friends to pick fresh and tasty Apples, Pears & Plums. We Grow 16+ varieties of apples, so there is sure to be one that suites your taste. See our fruit ripening forecast tab for expected availability.
The quaint market is the place to go for pre-picked fruit, fresh fall vegetables, and of course, Windwood's famous Apple Cider!
We are a simple farm. We do not have children's activities such as mazes or play centres. Our customers appreciate that we keep our farm as just that....a farm :) Come for a visit and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures.
